Abstract

In recent years, there has been an increasing demand for resource-sharing approaches to address increasingly complex social issues that are difficult for specific specialists to solve on their own. In order to solve these issues, new systems must be created and continuously improved based on mutual understanding and cooperation among various stakeholders. This paper introduces an approach aimed at building a System of Systems that amplifies educational effects and promotes “new intrinsic development” of communities. As a case study, this paper introduces the construction and implementation of a system that supports the formation of regional identity, which is the foundation for regional revitalization. This study develops a communication media that integrates data generated from various regional systems, including educational systems, and constructs a System of Systems. This paper describes an educational/regional revitalization program that promotes the use of this media and the effects of its implementation.
