Arthroscopic radial styloidectomy was devised and applied to six patients, four of which were evaluated following the procedure. One was diagnosed as osteochondritis dissecance of the radial styloid. The remaining three were diagnosed as established scaphoid non-union which had scapholunate advanced collapse (SLAC) arthritis. After the procedure, only one patient, who had arthritic change in the radiocarpal joint, complained of pain in activity of daily life. Grip strength increased, but we did not observe any postoperative improvement in range of motion of the wrist. Therefore, arthroscopic radial styloidectomy provided patients with satisfactory results and relieved pain.
