Abstract
Currently, the estimation errors of the scattering coefficient measurements in highly absorbing biological tissues have been reported and there is no other data available in this high absorption region. In my study, approximation methods by physics model were investigated to improve the estimation errors of scattering coefficient of biological tissues. Reduced scattering coefficient spectra of human skin tissue model and human vein in the wavelength range from 350 to 1000 nm were measured by double integrating sphere system and inverse Monte Carlo method, and the estimation errors around 400 nm were approximated by Mie scattering and Rayleigh scattering. As a result, Mie scattering was optimal approximation method for human skin tissue model and Mie and Rayleigh scattering was optimal one for human vein.
