Abstract

Eight years have passed since endovenous laser treatment (EVLT) for lower extremity varicose veins became available in Japan in January 2011. In this review, we will focus on the history of EVLT approval and the role of The Japanese Committee for Endovenous Laser Treatment established with EVLT approval.
