Three-dimensional Evaluation of Changes in the Optic Nerve Head and Fundus by Means of Scanning Laser Tomography

Abstract

By moving the focal plane along the optical axis, the scanning laser tomograph had the advantage of ability to evaluate the optic nerve head configuration layer by layer, It also enabled to reconstruct tomographical images three-dimensionally to calculate the topographic parameters, which was useful to diagnose glaucoma, In addition, deetailed assessment of changes around the macular region was possible.
