Abstract
Previously, the authors' Department published the results of studies on various functions of spleen. The authors investigated the relationships between spleen and carbohydrate metabolism, with special reference to the influence of spleen extract on blood sugar, as part of the previous report. The present paper describes the results of the above investigation that none of acetone treated extract of normal ox spleen, acetone treated extract of dehematized spleen of a case of Banti's disease, acetone treated extract of spleen of a case of hemolytic jaundice or alcohol soluble extract of blood contained in the spleen of a case of hemolytic jaundice significantly affects the content of blood sugar of rabbit.
