Abstract
1) A correlation between catalase and peroxidase reaction was found.
2) Either of two reactions was negative in 100γ and negative or positive in 10γ and 1γ resistant strains. Sensitive strains and 0.1γ resistant strains exhibited positive response.
3) Slight variations were noted in catalase reaction after transfers or the treatment with 4% NaOH. Some of the positive strains changed to negative, but negative strains remained negative.
4) The differentiation between resistant and sensitive strains in their mixed cultures could be done by means of catalase reaction.
