Abstract
Out of the 212 cases examined, those in which M. piriformis was divided into two muscular bundles of upper and lower by the penetration of N. fibularis (peroneus) communis were 42, , 19.8±2.74%, while those in which it was divided into three bundles of upper, middle and lower were 3, 1.4±0.81%.
The length, width and thickness of M. piriformis were slightly larger in males than in females and the diameter of the muscular bundle divided into two was larger on the upper bundle than on the lower one.
