Abstract
Growth disturbance such as hydrops and deformity produced on the embryos of the embryonating eggs loaded with Nicotine is evidently inhibited by the combined administration of chlorothiazide or Hydrochlorothiazide. While such inhibition was not observed when Trifluoromethyl-hydrothiazide was used in combination with Nicotine.
Vitamin B12 contents of the allantoic fluid, liver and blood were determined but failed to correlate those findings with the development of hydrops and deformity of the embryos.
