Pars intramuralis of the ductus choledochus was studied on a total of 46 Japanese. On having detailed investigations of its length, size, relationship to the ductus pancereaticus major and that to the formation of Vater's diverticulum, the authors pointed out the difference in the locality of Vater's diverticulum from the one stated in the text books hitherto published.
