Abstract
With an intention of knowing the specific characters of gastroptosis, comparisons were made between the patients of gastroptosis and non-gastroptosis emphasizing the findings of gastrocamera. Stated in the following are the results obtained thereof :
1. Presence of gastritis was recognized on the picture taken by gastrocamera in 96% of gastroptosis patients examined, and 83% were atrophic gastritis showing a larger number of the appearance of atrophic gastritis than in the patients of non-gastroptosis.
2. On comparison with the patients of non-gastroptosis by the difference in the kind of gastritis, many of the patients of gastroptosis complained of the heavy feeling in stomach and the presence of atrophic changes was high. Namely, the complaints of gastroptosis patients are not simply the complaint of gastritis but they have an additional complaint of gastroptosis itself.
3. Examination only by X-ray showed an extremely high rate of escaping the detection of ulcer among the patients of gastroptosis.
