Abstract
Methylamine, ethylamine, histamine and ACh have a remarkable contractile activity on the isolated intestine of rabbits or guinea pigs in vitro.
Glucuronolactone exerted a strong inhibition on the contractile activity of methylamine and ethylamine, but inhibition of glucuronamide on it was slight. Sodium glucuronate exerted a slight inhibition on the contractile activity of ethylamine, but it did not influence the contraction with methylamine.
No effect was observed on the contractile activity of histamine and ACh by all of three derivatives of glucuronic acid.
