Methylamine, ethylamine, histamine and ACh have a remarkable contractile activity on the isolated intestine of rabbits or guinea pigs in vitro.
Glucuronolactone exerted a strong inhibition on the contractile activity of methylamine and ethylamine, but inhibition of glucuronamide on it was slight. Sodium glucuronate exerted a slight inhibition on the contractile activity of ethylamine, but it did not influence the contraction with methylamine.
No effect was observed on the contractile activity of histamine and ACh by all of three derivatives of glucuronic acid.

Mytelase were applied on 10 cases of appendectomy, 10 cases of gastrectomy, 5 cases of intestinal resection or intestinal anastomosis and 5 cases of cholecystectomy. And the effects of Mytelase on the postoperative intestinal peristalsis were observed and compared the effects with the patients without Mytelase.
As the results of this investigation, Mytelase accelerated the postoperative intestinal peristalsis, especially on appendectomy, gastrectomy and intestinal resection group.
More over compared the effects of Mytelase with that of Vagostigmin, it was found that Mytelase was more effective for the intestinal peristalsis.
Accordingly, it was believed that Mytelase in the most effective medication on the postoperative intestinal paresis.

Effect of 19-nor-testosterone phenylpropionate (Durabolin) on body weight of premature infants was studied.
16 premature infants administrated 5 mg of Durabolin a week were compared with Holt's standard body weight of premature infants and with control group, 26 nonmedicated premature infants.
The physiological decrease ratio of body weight of medicated group was 2.9%, while that of control group was 8.1%.
At 2.5 days following the medication, they were incline to gain the body weight and at 3.5-4.5 days they were recovered to the birth-lével. In case of control group the gain of body weight started from 3 days or more after the birth.
Durabolin is very effective for the increase of body weight of premature infants and it is not necessary to use daily but weekly.
