Abstract
Two cases of acute pulmonary edema during genaral anesthesia with G-O-F (N2O: O2: Halothane) inhalation were presented in this report.
Case I: A 20-year-old male was operated upon with diagnosis of spondylolysis of the fifth lumbar vertebra. Acute pulmonary edema was caused by airway obstruction due to the cuff trouble of endotracheal tube during general anesthsia.
Case II: A 49-year-old female underwent radical hsterectomy with diagnosis of uterine cancer. Acute pulmonary edema was caused by probably overhydration.
Etiology, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of acute pulmonary edema during genaral anesthesia were discussed with reference to literatures.
