Abstract
Cell cycle dependency was to be analysed more in detail especially that of G-1 phase because of the vital importance of this phase in preparing DNA precursors including TMP synthesis, metabolism around which has been suggested radio-sensitive in our laboratory. Double labelin method, H-TdR, and C-TdR was used in this experiment, which was expected the cell to mark the cycle more in detail.
As the result,
1. Irradiation did not influence the cell of S-phase in taking-up thymidine.
2. Cells in S-phase including from early S to late S were more radio-resistant than in the other phase, G-2, M. and G-1, taken together.
3. However, the cells in early S phase proved high radiosensitivity contrary to the entire S phase marked in single thymidine labeling.
These findings were worth while in giving some proof upon the assumption that the metabolism around TMP Synthesis was too much disturbed by irradiation the cell to survive.
