Abstract

Two cases of calcinosis cutis of the scrotum were experienced.
Case 1: a 31-year-old male had had multiple hard nodules on the scrotum of 2-year duration,
Case 2 : a 29-year-old male had had multiple nodules of 5-year-duration.
The histologic sections of the two cases revealed great number of massive and small granular substance which stained deep blue with H & E and black with Von Kossa's stain. They were surrounded by inflammatory infiltrate mixed with foreign-body giant cells or thick fibrosis. No cystic structure contained the granular substance was demonstrated.
Thus, the cases diagnosed as dystrophic type of calcium deposition. Nineteen cases available in the literature of Japan were reviewed.
