A STUDY ON A CONSERVATIVE TREATMENT OF SCOLIOSIS

Abstract

In this study, we followed up 99 patients with scoliosis, 28 males and 72 females, who received conservative treatment in our clinic from 1973 to 1980. They were given exercise and brace therapy.
The following results were obtained: 1) An average degree of improvement in scoliosis curve was 2 degrees, in the exercise therapy using the Cobb Method. 2) In the brace therapy, we found a 5.5 degree of improvement in the curvature.
