Abstract

For surgery of the hand, we reported case studies of internal fixation with titanium miniscrews and miniplates. We have seen 64 cases (Herbert screw, 44; Leibinger-System, 13; Champy-System, 7) . The ages ranged from 15 to 55 yr, 34±6 (mean±S. D.) . It is advantageousl that this internal fixation can fix small fractures rigidly, and permit early exercises of the finger joints.
