Abstract
FES is the therapy for rehabilitate lost movement function to apply electrical stimulation to paralyzed extremity. We adapted implanted direct feeding method for FES. Direct feeding method is the stimulus method that transmits the energy for driving implants and communicates bi-directionally by electromagnetic induction with a mounted coil and implant coils contactlessly. However, we guess mounted system is too heavy for paralyzed patients. So we must reduce the weight. We proposed the new mounted coil with plural repeaters, the circuit composed of a capacitor and a coil with series connection. We designed mounted coil that can drive implanted coil by controlling a current in each repeater and magnetic field generated from a mounted coil.Consequently, we realized the 18turns lighter mounted exciting coil than the traditional coil and confirmed this coil can generate necessary magnetic field, 0.35mT, to implanted coils.
