Abstract
Recently, there are much people whose finger is hard to move by the aftereffect of the stroke. They use mainly rehabilitation apparatus which used rubber or spring. However, that apparatus is difficult to adjust of the load for user. Thus we focused on the EAM brake device. When the EAM is sandwiched between electrodes and one of those electrodes is slide, the shearing resistance force occurs between electrode and EAM by applying voltage. So, in the EAM braking device, braking force can be controlled by applying voltage. Then we developed the finger training device which the EAM brake device was built in the glove. In this training device, the load acting on a finger can be adjusted easily.
