Foot pressure distribution data are used in wide area such as clinical evaluation, sports sciences, and shoe fitting. On the other hand, it is difficult to identify anatomical landmark positions on two dimensional foot pressure matrix. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to discuss a method to identify the boundary position between toe and foot on the foot pressure distribution matrix. The data used is that from forty healthy Japanese elderly during two feet standing. We focus on the phenomenon that foot pressure values around the boundary tend to become smaller. The boundary positions are identified by using local minimum values. We also compared the result to that from three dimensional foot shape data.
