Abstract
The cultured muscle is expected to apply to treatment of muscle disease in the field of the regenerative medicine. On the other hand the application of a cultured muscle to flexible actuator as a next-generation actuator is also attracting attention. For the actuator, the contraction of the cultured muscles must be controlled.Because the cultured muscle has no nerve the contraction of the cultured muscles is controlled by electric current which is injected to the culture dish by electrodes. In this study, square alternating magnetic field is investigated as the stimulus. To investigate an effect of the magnetic field to the differentiation of the cells, the square magnetic field was applied for 30minutes per day for 7days to the cells which are in the differentiation incubation term.Magnitude of the contraction induced by conventional injected current is measured by digital analysis of the microscopic images. As the result, contraction time and relaxation time of the contraction of the cells are became long.It means that the cells are affected by the applied alternation magnetic field.
