A two channel portable electroencephalograph (EEG) was developed using a commercially available simple data logger (“OpenLog” from Sparkfun Electronics), instrumentation amp, microcontroller, circuit board and Li-ion battery. We have designed it for monitoring and analysis the changes in brain activity associated with human activities in the field. We had reported that a small and light weight electrocardiograph (ECG) with three axis accelerometer was developed for analyze autonomic nervous system (ANS) activity using heart rate variability (HRV). This portable ECG device became possible to monitor and analyze the changes of ANS activity in daily life. In addition, we have also analyzed the differences of the ANS activity using this device between differences of road conditions when ride the motorcycle. In the future, we will plan to experiments to monitor and analyze the EEG using this device when riding a motorcycle.
