Abstract

The released of CH4 and CO2 from the landfills to the atmosphere as well as the oxidation of CH4 in the cover soils were quantified with the combination of flux measurements and gas profiles techniques on four landfills in Thailand. It was found that most of estimated oxidation factors had the range between 0.09-0.25 and these were higher than the default value from the IPCC Waste Model.
