Abstract
Waste disposal of Japan under World War2 is studied with the weekly magazine "Shuhou" and "Shashin-Shuhou", which the Cabinet Information Board published at the wartime period. In the period of Showa 10s, the country performed the 3Rs campaign of collection of waste articles and garbage widely, but with aggravation of the war situation, campaign shifted from waste recovery to food reservation. Finally, 3Rs movement of wartime do not affect to the waste disposal of postwar period.On the other hand, it is necessary to reassess the movement about garbage, which Tokyo City Government and League for woman's suffrage acquisition developed together at the first half of Showa 10s, as a pioneer of citizen leaded 3R.
