Abstract
It was announced in January in 2012 by Ministry of Environment that compact appliances recycling system would be adopted with April 2014 as the target date. In response to this, local governments in entire Japan have started to study how to cope with the new policy. Presenters of this study actually broke up large-size wastes in Sakata City of Yamagata Prefecture as an experiment. In this presentation, the results of the experiment are outlined and the current status related to the new policy and future problems are analyzed.
