An Essay on the Relationship of Experienced Type Environmental Education and Pro-environmental Behavior

Abstract

  Pulling out individual pro-environmental behavior is mentioned as one of the purpose of environmental education. However, knowledge offer type environmental education is insufficient, and the necessity for experienced type environmental education is recognized. In this paper, a corrugated paper composter is utilized as experienced type environmental education teaching materials, and elementary consideration about how experienced type environmental education pull out pro-environmental behavior is offerd with a viewpoint of the paradoxical phenomenon of experienced type environmental education.
  Although it does not go beyond the essay yet, when people learn in a meaning called knowledge and try to take action based on it, the process of the verification and judgment by self is needed. Enforcement of experienced type environmental education brings the paradoxical phenomenon which becomes negative to the normative expression about pro-environmental behavior,but I think that it is not a phenomenon which is not desirable, but a positive attitude of the learner.
