Abstract
Wood residue is one of the renewable energy sources. By using fast pyrolysis technology, it can be converted into bio-crude oil. And there are many advantages on liquid type fuel. Hence, the study for fast pyrolysis of wood residue is demanded for designing the reactor and optimizing conditions of operation. Thus, in the present study, numerical simulation of fast pyrolysis in the bubbling fluidized bed is carried out. To sum up the results, bubble formation and behaviors affect solid flow. Active mixing of solid particles results in fast pyrolysis reaction throughout the bed, which makes the bio-crude oil yield maximum.
