Abstract
The effect of SiO_2 doping on the microstructural change of the WO_3 nanoplate was investigated. The SiO_2 was doped by mixing tetraethylorthosilicate into the W precursor during precipitation of the tungsten oxide. It was found that SiO_2 significantly retarded the particle growth, preserved the nanoplate structure, and resulted to more porous WO_3 powder.
