The effects of mechanical stretch on keratinocyte cell-cell adhesion

Abstract

Understanding how cells respond to mechanical stretch is important for the understanding of disease models. Here we analyse both the protein localization and expression of adherens junction and desmosomal proteins to identify key components regulated by mechanical stretch.
