Infertility is the main obstacle to achieve pregnancy naturally for women. The current technique for infertility treatments can not be applied to pregnant for women who are suffering from uterus malfunction. Tissue engineered organ is promising for regenerative medicine, which utilizes a scaffold to play an important role for tissue regeneration. In this research, we studied to develop a new and efficient method to fabricate the scaffold for uterus reconstruction by high hydrostatic pressure decellularization technique. In this research, we have developed a new enzymatic-high hydrostatic pressure method to fabricate uterine scaffold within 40 minutes. The enzymatic-high hydrostatic pressure method effectively and successfully removed cells inside the native uterine tissue while preserving the natural macro- and microstructure.
