In order to investigate the influence of different attractants on bacterial chemotaxis, microscopic observations with capillary assays were performed to analyze the movement of single bacteria. We observed chemotactic behaviors of Salmonella cells toward L-serine or L-aspartic acid. In order to reduce the number of bacteria, adjustment was performed using microinjection. The run duration time between two tumbles and the tumble angle were analyzed when approaching and leaving the attractant. As a result, the difference due to the attractant did not appear in the movement of bacteria. In addition, We discover that the detectable range of salmonella differs depending on the type of attractant. Therefore, the difference in the response of Salmonella to the attractants is considered to be a difference in the detectable range.
