In this paper, the anisotropic damage is applied to describe the matrix damages which reflect all types of damage that the matrix material undergoes. The asymptotic expansion homogenization method is used to obtain the effective elastic properties of composites, and to derive homogenized damaged elastic concentration factor with macro-scopic damage-induced strain for unidirectional laminate composites. Internal variables are introduced to describe the evolution of the damage state under uniaxial loading. Results obtained from the numerical simulations include damage evolution prediction and non-linear stress-strain analyses of macro-microstructure. The results are compared well with the experimental results.
