Separation motion analysis method for reentry capsule cover with considering various uncertainties was proposed in this study. Combination of the pre-evaluated CFD aerodynamic database and the point-of-mass motion analysis is used to understand the cover motion behavior under the wide range conditions. In addition, 6 degrees-of-freedom CFD analysis are used to investigate dynamic motion and aerodynamic characteristics interaction effect. It was found that there exists complicated non-linear relationship with cover's motion and the aerodynamic characteristics. It was also found that initial radial velocity significantly contributes to the success of the cover separation.
