134 Data assimilation for massive simulation models: in the case of the phase field model

Abstract

We propose a method of the data assimilation for massive simulation model, especially a phase field model. As the data assimilation method, we choose the adjoint method and improve it to be applicable to the constraint condition of the phase field model. Kobayashi's phase field model(1993) is used for checking the validity of the parameter estimation. As a result of the twin experiment, it is confirmed that the method we proposed works well for the parameter estimation.
