The mechanical properties of structural metallic materials significantly depend on their microstructure. Understanding the relationship between material microstructure and macroscopic mechanical properties requires extensive experimental observation and evaluation, which is both time-consuming and labor-intensive. In this study, we utilize 316L stainless steel as a model material and employ the crystal plasticity finite element method (CPFEM) to analyze the anisotropic plastic behavior of the material. By considering the crystallographic characteristics of the material, we evaluate the local deformation behavior and its influence on the macroscopic mechanical properties, providing insights into the deformation mechanisms within the microstructure.
