Abstract
In this paper we design a gain-scheduled controller for active seismic isolation of a structure taking account of actuator constraints, so that the closed-loop system is stable and has good performance even if saturation phenomena of the actuator occur. We utilize the time derivative of the actuator force to suppress the acceleration response at actuator saturation. By carrying out the experiment it is verified that the our proposed method is effective for actuator saturation problem in active seismic isolation.
