Abstract
The vibration analysis method with the introduction of the graph theory is developed in order to be easy to apply the transfer stiffness coefficient method to the various frame structures. In the new method, the analytical model is expressed by the signal-flow graph, and the contraction rule, which is the useful concepts of the graph theory, is introduced in the derivation process of the frequency equation. An algorithm based on the present method is formulated for free vibration of two-dimensional frame structure. The effectiveness of the present algorithm is confirmed by the numerical computational results.
