Abstract
The attenuation characteristics of a slit resonator that has the adaptive feedback ANC system for leakage noise at a ventilation aperture of the package is investigated. The discrete tones that are radiate from an AC axial fan are controlled by DSP using Filtered-X LMS algorithm. The attenuation level at each discrete tone in using the circular slit resonator is between 4dB and 14dB. Also, the attenuation level between 6dB and 15dB is observed in the ellipse slit resonator. The proposed system, which consists of a slit resonator with control speakers and the adaptive feedback ANC, enable us to reduce discrete tones effectively.
