Abstract
The concept of the active sound absorption method using thin and membranous piezoelectric film speaker is proposed toward the suppression of aircraft interior noise, especially large turbo-fun jet plane. At first, an active sound absorber unit is constructed with a secondary piezoelectric film speaker and an reference accelerometer, and the controller is designed using Filtered-x LMS adaptive filtering. Then, the active sound absorber unit is applied to the suppression of the transmitted sound through a thin plate, and by observing the sound attenuation at plural points, it is ascertained that the proposed method can actively absorb the transmitted sound, which has the property similar to the aircraft interior noise. Finally, a way of construction of the control system with proposed active sound absorber unit is presented for aircraft interior noise reduction.
