Abstract
This paper describes a method of vibration control for a flexible cantilever beam with piezoelectric actuators. A Sliding mode control is applied to the vibration control of the smart structure in the presence of model parameter errors. In this paper, it is shown by numerical simulations and experiments that the sliding mode control has high performance and robustness against system parameter errors.
