Abstract
In this paper, we develop passive two-degree-of-freedom dynamic absorber and study the performance of this dynamic absorber experimentally. This dynamic absorber has two auxiliary masses, which are connected in series by springs and dampers. We design the parameters of dynamic absorber by using the method proposed by L.Zuo and others. By the vibration experiment, we know that this passive two-degree-of-freedom dynamic absorber is effective to suppress two vibration modes of structures.
