Abstract
The authors proposed a single type self-powered active vibration control, in which an actuator produces control force with regenerating vibration energy and does not need energy supply. Previously, this system was applied to an active anti-rolling system for ships and its feasibility was discussed through numerical simulations and experiments. In this study, the authors propose to apply it to a vehicle suspension and examine its feasibility on a typical half-car model. The results of numerical simulations indicate the proposed system can reach better isolation performance than passive and semi-active control under the condition that the regenerated energy exceeds the consumed energy.
