Abstract
This paper describes the approximate vibration analysis of thin plate with a hollow. The approximate vibration analysis uses a finite element model of thin plate with beams at the position of the hollow's edge in exchange of finite element model of thin plate with a hollow for finite element analysis. This paper defines adding beam's dimension as flexural and torsional rigidity equations. The equations are based on values of flexural and torsional rigidity that natural frequencies of both thin plate with hollow and thin plate with beams are the closest. In the next, this study applies the proposed approximate vibration analysis to optimization of the hollow' s position. And availability of this method is cleared by the point of computation time and concordance of optimum solutions.
