Abstract
This paper develops an analytical model of curtain-cable by using finite segment formulation and deals with numerical simulations of dynamic behavior of curtain-cable subjected to impact load The dynamic behavior of the curtain-cable is examined and discussed by the numerical simulations and experiments. The curtain-cable is stretched by external step load and the internal force generated at the girder end of the curtain cable is examined As a result, it is found that fee internal forces generated at the girder end of fee curtain cable increase with decreasing the length of the cables, and the numerical simulations are in good agreement with the experimental ones.
