Abstract
In this paper, we propose the novel human interface applied to machine operation by using bite force. The bite force is measured by the strain gauge from the motion of muscle called Temporalis Muscle adjacent to temple. The measured value is divided into "large" and "small" as direction of strength and is divided into "right" and "left" as direction of right and left. Totally, the value is classified into the four kinds. We examined that bite force could be classified appropriately into the four kinds by operator's intention. As the result, 89% of trial was appropriately classified.
