Abstract
In this paper, pseudoelastic shape memory alloy-based springs in an seismic isolation table are modeled by using a non-negative Preisach model, which is an extended version of the conventional Preisach model. The proposed model, which is to be identified using the convex quadratic programming techniques, can provide a low-order approximation of the hysteresis with clockwise loops. By applying the identified model, the seismic response analysis is carried out to evaluate the acceleration transmissibility and the relative displacement response as well.
