Abstract
The analysis of coupled vibration of the arm, the tennis racket and the ball is important to understand the performance of the racket and to prevent of sports diseases when people play tennis. The arm is modeled as musculo-skeletal model taking activity level into account, and the ball and the racket are modeled by masses, rigid links, respectively, which are connected by springs and dampers. By coupling the dynamics of the ball, the racket, and the arm, the coupled equation of motion is derived. The feedback error learning system is introduced to obtain the value of the activity level of muscle and the holding moment between hand and racket. Finally the parameter study is performed, we show dynamic interaction among the racket, the ball and the arm.
