Abstract
While the contact rotating systems are operating, the periodic polygonal deformation patterns are often formed on the peripheral surfaces of rolls. Such phenomena are called pattern formation phenomena. In the previous report, the authors introduced an optimum design method of dynamic absorber for one or two degree-of-freedom systems by using a new stability analysis method to prevent the pattern formation phenomena and the effectiveness of the method was confirmed. In this report, an efficient design of dynamic absorbers is proposed for multi DOF systems. This method is one of designing each dynamic absorber one by one for each mode. This design method results in an efficient and effective design of dynamic absorbers for multi DOF systems.
