Abstract
We examine convergence characteristic of the LMS algorithm in an improved ANC system for cancelling beat noise. We also perform numerical simulation of the adaptation of the system in order to test analysis results. As a result of calculation of the condition number of the correlation matrix of a reference signal, the value of the condition number becomes smallest when the sampling frequency is 4 times of fundamental frequency of noise. If a value of the condition number is small, the convergence speed becomes fast. As a result of numerical simulation, the tendency that is similar to an analysis result is shown.
